When to go to the emergency room

So the HR department at work likes to out "helpful" emails sometimes. They send things like exercise tips, and recycling ideas. Today they sent out an email letting us know that we don't always have to go to the emergency room, sometimes we can just go to the urgent care facility. I actually agree with this, urgent care is a lot cheaper and it's not always a true emergency. But then they followed up this helpful hint with a list of times you should go to the emergency room and times you should go to instant care. Under the list of times that you should definitely go to the emergency room they listed "partial or total amputation of a limb." Did that really need to be clarified? Really? Maybe it did. Maybe some people cut of their arm and wonder if it is an urgent care of emergency room type of situation. So to all of my blog readers (all 3 of you) if you ever partially or totally amputate a limb just go straight to the emergency room. Do not pass Go, or collect $200 - just go directly to the ER.
